Privacy Policy

Tashteeby (tashteeby.com and the app com.tashteeby.oz) is an apartment finishing-cost calculator, plus Plan Studio, which reads your floor plan with AI and generates interior renders of it. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how you stay in control. By using the website or the app you agree to it.

  • The regular calculator works without an account and sends us no personal data.
  • Plan Studio and subscriptions need an account: an e-mail address and an optional name.
  • Floor plans you upload and the renders we generate live in your account and are deleted with it.

  • No ads on the site and we never sell your data. We use the Google tag only to measure our advertising campaigns.

1. Using Tashteeby without an account

The calculator on the website and in the app runs locally on your device. Unit details, quantity and price edits, language and market are stored only on your device (in your browser or in the app). Uninstalling the app or clearing browser data removes them.

The app and website request the material-price file from tashteeby.com to refresh market averages. That request carries no personal data or device identifiers.

2. Your account

If you create an account (to use Plan Studio, subscribe to Premium or buy images) we store:

  • Your e-mail address, your name if you choose to enter it, your language and market (Egypt or Saudi Arabia).
  • Your password as a one-way hash — we cannot read it. If you sign in with Apple or Google we store only the account identifier they give us; we never receive your Apple or Google password.
  • Sign-in sessions: device or browser type, platform (web / iPhone / Android) and last-used date, so you can sign out of your devices from settings.
  • Your image-credit balance and the ledger of credits added and spent.

We e-mail you only to verify your account or reset your password. No marketing e-mails.

3. Floor plans and renders

When you upload a floor plan (image, PDF or camera capture) we store it in your account together with the analysis result (rooms and areas), the cost estimate, and any style or colour notes you add. Generated renders are stored in your account too and are served through short-lived signed links that nobody else can open.

Only upload plans you own or are allowed to use, and preferably remove personal details such as names or addresses from the drawing before uploading — we do not need them.

4. Artificial intelligence (OpenAI)

To read your plan and generate renders we send the plan image (and the notes you typed) to OpenAI through its paid API. Under OpenAI's API policy, data sent through the API is not used to train its models and is retained only briefly for abuse monitoring. We do not send your name, e-mail or any account identifier with the request.

Analysis results and renders are produced by AI and can be inaccurate; they are visual guidance, not architectural drawings or an engineer's bill of quantities.

5. Payments

  • In the apps: Premium and image packs are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google Play. We receive the transaction receipt and identifier to verify it and unlock the feature — never a card number or password.
  • On the website: payments are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record, which handles card data, invoices and taxes under Paddle's privacy policy. From Paddle we receive only your customer ID, transaction IDs and subscription status. During checkout Paddle's script runs and may set its own cookies to complete the payment and prevent fraud.

We never store card numbers, in any case.

6. Local storage and cookies

The website keeps your chosen language and market in your browser and, after you sign in, a session token (in localStorage) so you stay signed in. Third-party cookies come from Paddle during checkout and from the Google tag described below.

Ad measurement (Google tag): we use the Google tag (gtag.js, ID AW-18452854183) to learn whether a visit, download or subscription came from a Google ad. The tag sets Google cookies in your browser and sends Google your IP address, a browser identifier and the pages you visited, which Google processes under the Google Privacy Policy. We never send your name, e-mail or any account data to the tag. You can turn off ad personalisation in Google Ads Settings or block the tag with an ad blocker.

7. Security logs

To protect the service we record your IP address with sensitive actions (sign-in, password changes, purchases, account deletion) and use it for rate limiting and abuse prevention. These logs are purged automatically after a short period and are not used for anything else.

8. Retention and deletion

Your plans and renders stay in your account until you delete them or delete the account. Account deletion is available on the account page of the website and in the app settings; it immediately removes your plans, images, credits, sessions and sign-in data. We keep only a minimal record of financial transactions for as long as accounting law requires, and security logs until they expire.

A website subscription stops renewing with the "Stop renewal" button on your account page, and deleting the account stops its renewal automatically too. App Store and Google Play subscriptions are cancelled in the store itself — deleting the account does not cancel them, so cancel them first.

9. Security

All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, and plans and images are kept outside the public web folder and opened only through short-lived signed links for the account owner.

10. Children

The service is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13; we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Your rights

You can view, correct or delete your data at any time from the account page, or contact us for a copy or for deletion. We do not sell your data and share it only with the service providers named here (OpenAI for AI processing; Apple, Google and Paddle for payments; Google for ad measurement; our e-mail provider for verification messages), to the extent needed to run the service or comply with the law.
